Aaron bacon

lead Pastor

Being born and raised in Alaska, I was blessed to have been raised in a family where God’s Word was central, serving Christ’s church was normal, and asking God, “Here am I Lord, send me” was encouraged. After completing an internship with Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU), I moved to Southern California where I completed a Masters of Divinity at Talbot School of Theology and served at a small church plant in Long Beach, CA. In 2011, God led me and my wife, Abigail, to Port Angeles, Washington where I became the Family Life Pastor at Independent Bible Church. Five years later, I assumed the lead pastor role from the previous pastor of forty-one years and am currently serve in this calling. Since moving to Port Angeles, my wife and I have been blessed with six children (the last three being a surprise hat trick) and have just completed my doctorate in pastoral ministry at Western Seminary.

Besides serving Christ’s church, I am also passionate about the outdoors…especially the mountains. I love mountain biking, snowboarding, and look forward to an annual, week-long backpacking trip into Olympic National Park. To this day, I marvel at God’s calling upon my life, God’s provision for my family, and am humbled by God’s continual grace in my life.
